Disillusioned with their careers, Victor Rockwell, a street-smart cop, and Julian Chase, a software engineer, form their own private investigative agency. Their office is shabby, its front door barely opens, and they need to solve cases quickly and efficiently if they want to keep the lights on.
Victor relies on his instincts, imposing physical presence and ability to read people, while Julian brings to the mix relentless analysis, technological prowess and his ability to spot details everyone else overlooks. Pooling their talents and resources, the two investigate cases ranging from burglary to double homicide and everything in-between.
One winter morning, a wealthy, grieving father hires the duo to do what the police have not been able to—determine who murdered his son. Their investigation, undertaken with the hope of securing financial stability for their fledgling business, leads them into a tangled web of government corruption and corporate greed.
